• Building a Well for Los Brazos

We are fundraising $12,000 for Caballero’s Los Brazos. Located between two ridges at the end of a narrow, rocky road, thirty families live off of their cultivation of cacao and do so without access to electricity or clean water. A murky mud hole about 12′ in diameter holds rain water which everyone uses for bathing and washing.

Recently Priest Nino Ramos built a cement, open air holding tank to collect additional rain water behind their humble school, but this was only after well digging attempts failed when hitting rock. Use of proper equipment to drill a deep well could revolutionize the lives of the people in this community, from its elders to infants.

When purchasing a chocolate bar through Cacao Prieto’s Campaign, 50% will go towards drilling the much needed well for the community of Los Brazos.
